Patient Care

Patients

When you’re not feeling your best, you often face many important healthcare decisions. It’s the details along the way that can make all the difference…

Diagnosis: At your first consultation, you will have an opportunity to meet with Dr. Sarkar to ask any questions you may have and express your concerns. He will assess your physical health history, discuss related symptoms, and review your radiographic images. There are times when just putting a name to your condition helps answer many questions.

Treatment: We make recommendations as to the best plan of care given your personal situation. This may include watchful waiting, conservative management, or making steps towards surgery. If necessary, we may refer you to our collaborative partners to help you manage your condition both emotionally and physically.

Hospitalization: Should surgery be in your plan our patient-centered team will guide you from scheduling your pre-anesthesia appointment through your entire surgical stay.

Recovery: Following any surgery, the body needs time to recover. We will assess your strengths and weaknesses to ensure the safest and most successful results.
You may work with therapists, other physicians, social workers, and patient care resource managers to determine how best to achieve these results. In some situations, discharges to another facility may be necessary to ensure a safe post operative transition for you to your home.

The entire surgical process does not begin and end in the hospital. It is a process that involves you, your loved ones, and our team of trained, compassionate professionals.
